We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced chartered surveyor to join our Rural Surveying team based in Marlborough. The
post holder will manage a varied Estate Management portfolio and associated rural professional work and will serve a range of
existing private clients across the southern and southwest regions. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor looking to use
their skills and experiences to build their own client base, delivering a range of rural professional services to include
valuations, agricultural, commercial and residential tenancy matters, agri-environmental advice, project management and hands-on
management.

Main tasks:
* Management of rural estates primarily (but not exclusively) across the Wiltshire and West Berkshire region, providing
high-level strategic management advice with direct client contact
* Overseeing day-to-day management to include supervision of Estate employees, dealing with external professionals and other
advisors.
* Providing general professional advice on a variety of topics including Landlord and Tenant matters, the preparation of
agri-environmental schemes and residential management and compliance.
* Undertaking valuations for a range of assets including farms, woodland, country houses and landed estates.
* Working with the Partners to expand the business by identifying new business opportunities across the Rural sector.
* Participation in the ongoing development and implementation of an effective profit centre business plan developed in line with
the Carter Jonas vision.

time to ensure the smooth running of the team.
What will it take to be successful?
You will be a RICS charted surveyor with substantial post qualification experience gained within a rural surveyor role. You will
have prior experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders and good working knowledge of all relevant legislation
including knowledge of landlord and tenant matters encompassing agricultural holdings, farm business, tenancy and housing. The
successful candidate will be confident, technically competent, numerate and have excellent communication and inter-personal
skills. Additionally, you will have experience of delivering and managing multiple projects, be competent with MS Office and hold
a full UK driving licence.
