Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Create and modify electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials.
Select appropriate components and materials for control panels, considering factors like voltage, current, and environmental conditions.
Design and route cables and conduits in both 3D and 2D, determining appropriate sizes and paths.
Develop control system architecture for PLC and HMI systems and select appropriate hardware.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine and final testing, including continuity, insulation, and functional tests on control panels.
Identify and diagnose faults, providing solutions for system improvements.
Work with and interpret schematic drawings for troubleshooting and system validation.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to address design changes or issues.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure process efficiency and product quality.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Prepare and manage documentation, including drawings, schematics, and reports.
Other:
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., IEC, UL, NEC).
May be involved in site visits for project implementation and troubleshooting.
Assist with quotation support on custom solutions.
Assist the marketing department with the development and maintenance of new and existing offers.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in electrical panel design or related roles.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in electrical software (e.g., AutoCAD, Eplan).
Knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Understanding of electrical components and their applications.
Experience with PLC and HMI systems.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, NEC).
