Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join the team, working for an established housing organisation based in the Stockton area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of surveying principles and techniques, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, and excellent customer service skills to ensure accurate measurements and assessments are conducted in line with project requirements. Temporary ongoing position minimum of 3 months, £38,438 per annum PAYE £48,958 per annum UMB Monday to Friday Responsibilities Ensure the effective delivery of repairs and voids maintenance services, overseeing the progress of works orders within agreed timeframes. Liaise with customers, arrange visits to identify any repairs required, raising repairs, writing any required reports, and manage through to completion. Complete repairs post-inspections and checks to ensure quality, value for money and customer satisfaction. Carry out full house surveys following damp, mould and condensation requests, to strict timescales, managing each case through to completion, with accurate data recording. Collaborate with housing teams and colleagues to manage repairs and voids efficiently, ensuring that the Empty Homes standard is met Manage the void schedule through to completion, Inspect void properties during works, conducting thorough post-inspections to maintain high-quality standards and value for money, within budget requirements. Ensure timescales are met to minimise void rent loss Attend regular repairs and voids meetings, providing updates and ensuring service delivery aligns with contractual KPI targets Work alongside the Complaints Resolution Team to monitor customer satisfaction through feedback and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved and communication is recorded in the housing management system. Requirements HNC in Building or equivalent qualification or qualified through experience in maintenance or construction Ability to interpret building legislation and understand product lifecycles Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong time management capabilities. Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines. Strong customer focus, with the ability to see services from the customer's perspective and ensure satisfaction Proficiency in IT systems, including operational software for property management.
