Salary £32,028.48 per annum We are seeking a Garage Operations Clerk to provide administrative and practical support to the Garage Operations Management Team in the day to day running of our Barking Garage. You will also oversee Health and Safety of staff and visitors, in addition to ensuring that prescribed security measures are not breached. The main duties of this interesting and very busy post will include the successful operation of the traffic office while on duty, including the cost-effective allocation and utilisation of driving staff to ensure we maximise our potential to provide an excellent service to our customers. You will also assist in the compilation of documentation including log card and driving hours’ compliance. Preparing weekly paid grade duty allocation and attendance documentation for payroll purposes and be responsible for accurate entries on all documentation is also a key part of this role. You will also be required to investigate complaints, log accident reports on the Tracerit system and assist with licence renewals. You should have knowledge of the appropriate Company procedures in relation to the above and understand the messages and have customer service skills. A working knowledge of the Grampian System would also be desirable but not essential for this position. An understanding of operating/engineering terminology, together with TfL contract compliance in respect of mileage, incident reporting and Domestic Driving Hours rules would be desirable. A PCV Licence would also be desirable. The salary for this post will be £32,028.48 per annum based on an early shift between the hours of 06:00 and 14:30, based on a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday. However, it is important to note that you will need to be flexible and be willing to alter your hours of work at short notice to meet the needs of the business.
