Role Overview
We are seeking an Internal HSE / QAQC Manager to oversee all aspects of HSE compliance and quality control within our operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety, environmental compliance, maintaining quality standards, and managing accreditations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HSE regulations, quality management systems, and industry accreditations.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management:
* Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures in compliance with UK and EMEA regulations.
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
* Manage incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
* Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees.
* Stay up to date with legislation and industry best practices in HSE.
Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC):
* Develop and implement QAQC processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies.
* Conduct quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
* Oversee supplier and contractor quality assessments.
* Ensure compliance with ISO, industry standards, and client requirements.
Accreditation Management:
* Maintain and manage ISO certifications, regulatory accreditations, and compliance documentation.
* Lead internal and external audits to ensure continued accreditation.
* Work closely with stakeholders to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies
* HSE & QAQC Expertise – Strong understanding of UK and international health, safety, and quality regulations.
* Audit & Compliance Management – Experience managing accreditations, audits, and compliance programs.
* Risk Assessment & Incident Management – Ability to assess risks and implement safety improvements.
* Training & Leadership – Capability to provide training and drive a culture of safety and quality.
* Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail – Ability to identify risks and quality issues with precision.
* Strong Communication Skills – Ability to liaise with internal teams, regulators, and auditors.
Qualifications & Experience
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) required; additional HSE qualifications are advantageous.
* Experience with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and quality management frameworks.
* 3+ years of experience in an HSE and/or QAQC management role.
* Strong knowledge of UK health & safety regulations and international compliance requirements.
