Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Workshop Fitter to join their Branch in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out maintenance and repairs industrial pumps as directed by the Manager.
* Adhere to manufacturers' procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with the supervisor and colleagues regarding job requirements, costs, and downtime.
* Inspect equipment for damages and notify the Branch Manager with detailed reports.
* Suggest modifications and improvements to machinery or processes.
* Ensure all administration and paperwork are accurately completed and submitted on time.
Job Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Experience working with diesel engines and industrial pumps is advantageous.
* Strong diagnostic skills to locate and fix faults efficiently.
* Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and standard hand and power tools.
* Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Willingness to grow with the role and undertake further training.
