This apprenticeship is due to start in August 2025.
We have an exciting opportunity to start your career at DVSA as one of our apprentice Software Tester Managers.
Working within a delivery focused Agile environment, and in collaboration with members of multi- disciplinary Agile teams, you will play a key role in designing and implementing testing processes and strategies for the Theory Test digital services.
Your main purpose is to ensure that Theory Test digital services function properly, meet defined business needs and operate in accordance with government and industry quality standards.
You will learn and apply testing methodologies, both manual and automated, and gain knowledge of scripting languages and tools to support testing procedures. You will work closely with development teams to identify and capture test cases, set up test environments and design and execute test plans for Theory Test Service products.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Working closely with senior test engineers, developers, product owners and wider scrum teams to develop a strong understanding of projects and testing objectives.
* Design and creating test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
* Troubleshooting issues to enable root cause identification and resolution.
* Reviewing test results and modify tests if necessary.
* Documenting, track, and escalate application defects as appropriate.
