Main Duties of the Job
The MRI/CT department at the Queen Alexandra hospital is looking for an ambitious, highly motivated and dedicated practice educator radiographer with experience in CT and MRI who is passionate about staff development and education. This position is to support the current practice educator in delivering high standards of professional practice, facilitating continual staff development and the delivery of high quality of care within the current team.
The department is a fun, dynamic, vibrant and progressive unit with state-of-the-art technology, located on the South coast of England in a lively city with deep historical roots and easy travel links to both London and Europe.

Job Responsibilities
* To lead on the training, learning and development agenda for registered and unregistered Allied Health Practitioners (AHP) across CT/MRI ensuring that education provision meets service requirements, and that Radiography training meets its statutory and contractual obligations.
* Ensuring radiographic staff are fit to practise and those with talent are enabled to progress across all modalities and integrating internationally recruited staff.
* Take the lead role in managing and developing Student Radiographers when on placement in CT/MRI and Assistant Practitioner training.
* To work as part of the CT/MRI Team ensuring that the service delivered to patients and relatives is evidence based, meets statutory and contractual requirements and that patients and staff have a positive experience.
* Provide visible clinical AHP leadership and presence across the CT/MRI radiology service to facilitate innovation in the pursuit of clinical excellence.
* To constantly monitor levels of clinical expertise, and to maintain high levels of same, both for oneself and within the wider team.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
* Current Radiographer registration with HCPC.
* Hold or be working towards relevant Post Registration qualifications to MSC Level (or equivalent level of learning) in specialty to include a teaching/mentorship qualification e.g. Post Graduate Certificate in Education or Mentorship Module or BTEC Education and Training.
* Post graduate qualification in CT or MRI.
Experience Essential
* Evidence of teaching (either formal or informal) experience.
* Experience of change management.
* Previous experience development of practice.
Desirable
* Previous NHS experience.
