Vehicle Movements Planner
Our client is seeking an experienced Vehicle Movements Planner to join their growing team. This role involves managing multiple vehicle movements daily, ensuring the smooth operation of a busy yard while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily vehicle movements for collections, deliveries, MOTs, servicing, and repairs.
Manage a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles and 40 trailers, ensuring timely delivery and high standards of cleanliness.
Collaborate with the MOT Coordinator to meet monthly MOT targets.
Oversee and support a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with driving regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient yard environment.
Liaise with internal teams and customers to ensure vehicle requests are fulfilled on time.
Plan driver resources effectively to minimize reliance on third-party agencies.Skills & Experience:
Previous experience as a Transport Planner.
Experience in leading and motivating a small team would be highly beneficial
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Knowledge of UK route planning and driving legislation.
Leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
Full UK driving license (HGV qualification preferred but not essential).Additional Details:
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience).
28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
Full-time, permanent role: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm (45 hours/week).
Participation in Saturday rotas as required - overtime paid.
