Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio, Finance & PMO Lead (R&D) at the Nestle Product Technology Centre in York. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the Portfolio, Finance and Project Management Office functions within the NPTC. We are looking for an inspiring leader who can drive the development and implementation of the medium/long term innovation strategy for our Confectionery portfolio of projects. A day in the life of a Finance, Portfolio & PMO Lead Your main objective will be to drive the development and implementation of the medium/long term innovation strategy for the Confectionery portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with the Global Business Strategy and maximizing value creation. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and drive the R&D innovation strategy to meet business needs and shape the portfolio strategy. - Ensure alignment with the Global Business Strategy, corporate strategy, and future growth opportunities. - Develop long and short-term financial strategies and execution plans to maximize return on investment. - Drive agile and efficient decision making to maximize the value of the portfolio and prioritize resource allocation. - Act as the gatekeeper for decisions impacting resource use in the NPTC/R&D Centre and maintain transparency of resources and bottlenecks to deliver projects. - Accountable for the NPTC Confectionery OPEX & CAPEX budget management. - Ensure efficient and effective processes for compliant and accurate budget management. - Lead, coach and develop high performing, engaged, and inclusive teams. - Deliver strategic innovations/renovation projects on time, on budget, and smoothly into operations. - Identify and engage with wide range of stakeholders to create synergies through effective networking and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation. - Provide relevant information, insight and recommendations to enable effective portfolio, finance and project decision making. What will make you successful? - Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance or related field (Master's degree preferred). - Extensive experience in finance, portfolio management, and project management. - Strong leadership and people management skills and proven experience in roles across business, operations and R&D - Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities and experience in defining & shaping and executing strategy - Proven track record of driving innovation and delivering results. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders. - Experience in FMCG and knowledge of the confectionery industry is a plus. - Successful track record in leading change, influencing broad network of senior stakeholders and delivering results. - Demonstrated ability to use experience and knowledge and analytical skills to generate business insight and enable effective decision making If you are a highly motivated and experienced professional looking for a challenging role in a dynamic and innovative environment, we encourage you to apply for the Portfolio, Finance & PMO Lead (R&D) position at Nestle Product Technology Centre in York.
