Project Manager (262jc) – Remote, Midlands based covering the UK – up to £55k car Benefits This client who are one of the UK’s leading companies in the Fuel Storage Solutions is now looking for a RE Pet Op SNCO or equivalent to join their expanding team due to increasing projects coming in the near future. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY. You will be reporting to the Commercial Manager, and you be responsible for planning, designing, executing and monitoring all aspects of specific projects as well as being responsible for the safe delivery of projects relevant to your area of expertise. Your role will have the following responsibilities: Visiting clients to understand their needs and requirements and then supplying quotes to the client, making sure they are accurate, and commercially viable. After delivery of the quote and award of contract, full project management of the works, which includes creation and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements working with the sales and operations team Identify resources and assign responsibilities as well as manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) Work with customers and suppliers to define and document questions, liaise with business as well as other stakeholders Submit project status reports to stakeholders; anticipates and reacts to change Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety are factored in Regular project updates on CRM Ensure work is delivered within budget Conducting site visits as and when required and reporting in their progress, making sure that milestone reviews and payments are completed and followed up Ensuring all work is carried out safely and that rules, regulations, policies, procedures as well as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, other relevant Acts and Regulations as well as Approved Codes of practice you will carry out Understanding, adherence and acceptance of Risk Assessments and Method statements as well as the ability to complete Dynamic Risk Assessments Co-operating with line management in ensuring that personnel, contractors and visitors comply with site rules. Work alongside your team in the development of equipment, plant and systems to improve safety, health, environmental and quality standards and operational efficiency. Report faults on plant, equipment and infrastructure and any other operational difficulties to a member of the line management team, as they occur. Carry out regular training when deemed appropriate and help others with their training needs where required To be eligible for this role you will need the following skills and experience: IT Literate Active listener with interpersonal communication Strong Decision-making capability Resource and time management Holding Prince 2, CSCS or SMSTS would be desirable SC preferred As well at the ability to have overnight stays on occasion As mentioned above the ideal candidate would probably be a Pet Op who has experience in the design and construction of fixed fuel facilities and therefore would probably come from a Royal Engineer or RAF/RN equivalent background. As a significant portion of their sites are on MoD bases, the ability to gain and hold SC Clearance is crucial, candidates with current SC clearance would therefore have an advantage.
