The Jenny Lind Children's Hospital, NNUH, is seeking one substantive 10PA consultant in paediatric respiratory medicine. The successful appointee will help shape the developments of this well-established unit and support the East of England CF network and regional respiratory services. The post comprises of 10PA of which SPA and 8PAs of clinical work. The clinical work will include specialized cystic fibrosis and respiratory work.
We encourage applicants who have completed their national sub-speciality grid/ SPIN/equivalent training in paediatric respiratory medicine.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work with colleagues in paediatric respiratory medicine, paediatric medicine, surgery, and neonatology to provide respiratory support to inpatients and outpatients in the Jenny Lind Children Hospital. They will collaborate with colleagues at CUH to develop closer clinical, research and training links, as lead centres within the regional Paediatric Respiratory and Cystic Fibrosis services. NNUH is a recognised specialist centre for Cystic Fibrosis.
The Acute paediatrics and paediatric medicine on-call are delivered by a team of consultants working across children's emergency department, children's assessment unit and inpatient wards.

14. Full GMC
15. MRCPCH or equivalent
16. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: o CCT in paediatrics OR Equivalent (Proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview).
Desirable
17. Higher degree such as MD, MSc or PhD.
18. CCT in respiratory paediatrics
Experience

19. Applicants who are Nationals from another European country or elsewhere overseas would have to show equivalence to the 5 years training period in the National Health Service required for the specialty.
20. Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to a career in paediatric respiratory medicine.
21. 2 years paediatric respiratory training or experience in a tertiary centre (candidates with GRID/SPIN or equivalent are encouraged to apply).
22. Competent at management of inpatients and outpatients with respiratory conditions or CF
23. EPLS or APLS certification
24. Training to level 3 safeguarding and experience of safeguarding at Specialist Registrar or Consultant level.
