NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Estates Manager to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.
The NHS Supply Chain sources, delivers and supplies healthcare products, services and food for NHS trusts and healthcare organisations across England and Wales. Our Estates Team looks after the warehouse and office estate across the NHS Supply Chain. We are seeking an experienced Estates or Facilities Manager who will report into the Estates & Facilities Lead. This role provides key support to the business managing the hard and soft facilities management activities around our offices. This includes management of the facilities management services provider, supporting colleagues with their usage of our facilities, and working alongside other members of the Estates and Facilities team to ensure a safe, compliant, accessible and sustainable estate for our business to operate from.
The role will also be required to support the Estates & Facilities Lead in the delivery of various projects. The role will be based at one of our office sites but will require travel to other sites to collaborate and manage the estate.
Every day you will …
* Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan.
* Perform a range of facilities management activities, critically reviewing and providing input while working within the established facilities plan to achieve pre-established outcomes.
* Ensure the upkeep of buildings, and grounds, including overseeing repairs and renovations.
* Develop stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns to support the communication of business information and decisions.
* Work with the wider Estates and Facilities team to produce accurate and concise operational and financial reports to manage KPIs and educate future decisions.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?
* Previous experience working in an Estates or Facilities Manager role.
* Good understanding of SFG20.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly and effectively resolve issues that arise on sites.
* Strong stakeholder and organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
