Bring us your capability, and we’ll help you take it much, much further. What you'll be doing We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join our Energy & Substation Construction team. Reporting to the Senior Planning Manager/Head of Operations, you will be responsible for implementing project planning procedures, ensuring compliance with business management systems, and managing key aspects of project planning and team coordination. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage detailed project programmes for Energy & Substation projects, ranging from £5M to £100M. Create contract programmes, target/delivery schedules, and look-ahead plans. Lead and support planning teams, ensuring alignment with project goals. Ensure compliance with planning procedures and contractual requirements. Identify major constraints, risks, and factors affecting project timelines. Maintain 4D planning for project visualization and coordination. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including site teams, design specialists, and clients. Provide progress reports and contribute to risk and opportunity management. Champion Short Interval Control (SIC) to optimize project execution. Who we're looking for Extensive experience in construction planning, preferably in Energy, Power, or Substation projects. Proficiency in Asta PowerProject, Primavera P6, and MS Office (Excel, Word). Strong knowledge of contract forms (NEC), risk management, and programme monitoring. Experience in 4D planning and BIM integration is desirable. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. A degree or HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is desirable. Professional membership of RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE/CIHT is a plus. Relevant CSCS card required.
