We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist with qualifications in a variety of complementary therapies to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting holistic health, offering a range of massage and therapy services, and providing exceptional care tailored to the individual needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities
1. Massage Therapy: Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, aromatherapy, or hot stone massage to relieve tension, improve circulation, and promote overall well-being. Assess clients' physical condition, pain levels, and areas of concern to provide personalized treatments. Maintain accurate client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and feedback for ongoing care. Offer pre- and post-treatment advice on self-care, stretching, and wellness strategies.
2. Complementary Therapies: Provide other complementary therapies such as reflexology, reiki, aromatherapy, Thai massage, lymphatic drainage, or craniosacral therapy based on qualifications. Use complementary therapies to enhance relaxation, balance energy, and support clients' mental and emotional well-being. Adapt therapeutic approaches based on individual client needs, preferences, and health conditions. Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in complementary therapies to expand treatment options for clients.
3. Client Care: Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service and personalized care. Create a calming and welcoming environment, ensuring clients' comfort during treatments. Address any client concerns or queries with professionalism and empathy.
4. Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including sanitation and hygiene practices, to ensure a safe environment for both clients and therapists. Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas and equipment.
5. Professional Development: Continuously improve professional skills through ongoing education and training in massage therapy and complementary treatments. Attend staff meetings, workshops, and industry events to enhance knowledge of new techniques and practices.
Qualifications and Skills
Mandatory Qualifications: Certification in Massage Therapy and physiotherapy (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, or other recognized qualifications). Additional qualifications in complementary therapies such as Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Reiki or Energy Healing, Thai Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral Therapy. A valid massage therapy license (if required by local regulations). Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications of massage therapy. Previous experience in a wellness center, spa, or similar environment is preferred.
