Part-Time 1:1 Tutor

We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised support for children in care, students with special educational needs, and pupils who have been excluded. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of young learners in Reading and nearby areas.
We offer a range of part-time tuition opportunities that take place during school hours or after school. The role involves supporting students primarily in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science across various key stages.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions in various settings, including the student's home, care home, online, or community spaces like libraries.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit students who may face challenges with conventional learning approaches, including behavioural or SEN-related difficulties.
- Provide engaging and flexible teaching to help students working below expected levels.

- Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, up to 25 hours per week per student.
- Duration: Ongoing
- Pay: Minimum £25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- QTS or QTLS (preferred).
- A degree-level qualification in the relevant tuition subject.
- Experience working with students who have SEMH needs or are Looked After Children (LAC).
- A motivated and positive approach to education.
- The ability to make lessons engaging and enjoyable.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional references from the past two years that are child-related.
- Free accredited professional development courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
