KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Serve customers at the till and handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
2. Prepare, cook, and present food as required.
3. Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
4. Ensure tables are clean and ready for customers.
5. Maintain clean and hygienic floors in all café areas.
6. Perform cleaning duties in both staff and public toilets to a high standard.
7. Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including tea, coffee, and other drinks.
8. Assist with the preparation and service of meals to meet established standards.
9. Work flexibly across multiple locations, including Café Botanic, Café Aqua, the Botanic Gardens, and Inverness Leisure.
10. Ensure all catering facilities are maintained in a clean and tidy condition, including staff and visitor toilets.
11. Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture, supporting the Charity's mission of 'Making Life Better' and its i-care values.
12. Provide excellent customer service to all patrons of the Inverness Botanic Gardens and catering operations at Inverness Leisure.
13. Contribute to the smooth and professional operation of the Café, ensuring a safe, healthy, hygienic, and welcoming environment.
14. Adhere to all company and legal requirements regarding hygiene, health and safety, food hygiene, and HACCP, including policies related to COSHH, fire safety, security, alarms, energy conservation, and recycling.
15. Promptly report any complaints, compliments, accidents, near misses, fires, thefts, damages, or other incidents to the Café Supervisor.
