Torbay Children’s Services is seeking a Data Cleanse Officer for a fixed-term period until March 2025.
This full-time role involves improving the quality of data within our Children’s Services management information systems.
Responsibilities:
* Work on pre-identified tasks across various systems.
* Work alongside the Children’s Services Systems Team and Business Analysts to ensure data accuracy.
Who We are Looking For:
* Someone comfortable with data-related tasks, detail-oriented, and capable of handling repetitive work.
* A team player who can manage a variety of data quality tasks with precision and care.

This position is for a fixed term until March 2025.
This post meets the requirements for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. This will show spent and unspent convictions and adult cautions which have not been filtered in line with legislation, plus any information held by local Police that is considered relevant to the role.

Skills
Essential:
* Good with desktop applications like MS Word and Excel.
* Able to focus on details and check your own work.
* Systematic in completing repetitive tasks efficiently.
As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Understand the importance of data quality and its impact on service delivery.
* Awareness of data protection and the handling of highly sensitive information.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* GCSE level education or equivalent.
* Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
* Accurate handling of electronic data.
* Experience working with a management information system.
