Town Planner / Planning Consultant job available in Winchester and London locations with a highly regarded and leading architectural practice. Seeking an experienced Town Planner who is looking for a varied and strategic role with a practice that boasts and unrivalled portfolio of projects. Offering a salary of up to £55,000 plus benefits and hybrid flexibility.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, including managing the pre-application process and planning notes on land and buildings
2. Provide guidance on local and national planning frameworks
3. Provide strategic advice on planning framework and law, developing strategies for approval of sensitive projects
4. Coordinate the preparation of Planning Statements, Design and Access Statements, and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
5. Manage the preparation of supporting documents for development and infrastructure schemes, including Development Consent Orders
6. Assist clients with the planning process and provide solutions to overcome planning challenges
7. Negotiate with local authorities and key stakeholders
8. Provide strategies to internal teams and be a primary point of contact for planning related matters.
Required Skills & Experience
9. 5+ years of industry experience, private or public sector
10. Proven background working on a variety of projects including historical/listed buildings and sensitive projects
11. Experience with projects across London and Hampshire, ideally with relationships in both locations
12. Client-facing experience and strong communication skills
13. Ideally degree qualified in town planning, urban design, or similar
14. MRTPI / MRICS, preferred but not essential.
