Imagine stepping into a workplace where your expertise isn’t just valued—it’s essential. Picture yourself at the heart of a leading UK bottled water company, working alongside a team that thrives on innovation and excellence in every part of their Engineering department.
We’re looking for a multi-skilled Engineer to be part of this forward-thinking environment. You’ll be maintaining cutting-edge, high-speed machinery, predominantly Krones systems, that play a crucial role in keeping the Production line running smoothly.
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Harrogate
Salary: 48,000 - Rising to 50,000 following probation, Private Medical Insurance
Shifts: Shift pattern is a rotating two-week pattern (2 weeks of days, 2 weeks night) with two weekends off in four.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the EU&F Manager, you’ll spend your days hands-on with both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance tasks. From routine maintenance to troubleshooting any issues that come up, your work will ensure the machinery runs efficiently and safely. You’ll collaborate closely with Production teams, making sure everything works to standard, and be responsible for contractors working onsite.
Here’s a breakdown of some of your key tasks:
* Fault finding, repairs, and routine maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
* Tackling planned and reactive maintenance with a focus on safety.
* Conducting Root Cause Analysis to improve processes and keep the team at its best.
* Ensuring seamless communication during shift handovers.
* Overseeing onsite contractors to make sure everything runs to site standards.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a solid background in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance, ideally within an FMCG environment. Fault finding on high-speed automated equipment should be second nature to you, and experience with automated process control systems will set you apart. If you’ve worked with Krones machinery or have knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens/Allen Bradley), that’s a big plus.
On the qualifications side, City & Guilds or an equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical maintenance is essential. Any additional certifications in PLC systems or network controls would be the cherry on top.
This is your chance to be part of a company that values progress and sustainability as much as performance. You’ll have the support you need to grow, both personally and professionally, while playing a key part in their future success.
