About the role
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Deployment & Assurance team of our Pricing Department.
As a Principal Testing Analyst, you will utilise your technical expertise to support with the creation, implementation, and regularly reviews of the pricing algorithm testing standards, workflows, and processes to ensure effective deployment to our external rating engine.
You will play a key role in maintaining accuracy and functionality by reviewing the work of junior team members, ensuring adherence to best practices. Acting as a mentor, you will motivate and guide team members, sharing your experience to identify improvements and help deliver work on schedule.
You will assist in controlling the quality of team outputs by ensuring testing is conducted consistently and to defined standards, helping to eliminate errors in production systems. Collaborating closely with Pricing teams, Underwriting, and IT, you will ensure testing practices are effectively represented and executed within all projects and pricing changes. You will also provide representation for the team in meetings, occasionally deputising for senior colleagues as needed.
This role will involve hands-on delivery of testing tasks where required, ensuring timely deployments to production systems, while staying up to date with industry trends and technological developments to contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.
About you
We’re looking for a motivated individual with a strong blend of technical and non-technical skills to thrive in this role.
You will have proven experience in testing and prior exposure to working with APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). Alongside these technical skills, you’ll need to demonstrate resilience, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to challenge thinking and influence decisions. Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively on your own initiative are also key to success in this role.
While not essential, experience within the insurance industry would be beneficial, as would familiarity with the Radar software and/or coding experience gained within a professional environment. Additionally, any prior experience delivering or managing change within a business context would be advantageous.
