What the Job Involves As a Project Management Officer, your primary role is to ensure that projects within the Council are planned, executed, and completed effectively while aligning with community strategic objectives. You will collaborate with senior leaders, managers, and project participants to create detailed project plans and strategies aligned with governmental priorities. Key responsibilities include engaging stakeholders to ensure project buy-in, facilitating workshops and meetings, and providing training on best practices in project management. You will develop and implement mechanisms for tracking and reporting project progress, identifying issues or risks, and providing updates to senior leadership. Additionally, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives, capturing insights and best practices from completed projects to enhance future projects. Your role includes maintaining knowledge of the Council's plans and priorities, demonstrating cost-consciousness, and suggesting improvements to service delivery. You will also liaise with Council officers, Members, and service users, completing reasonable tasks to fulfill the role's purpose and ensuring delivery of Personal Performance Appraisal Objectives.
