Job Title: Service Project Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £45,000 per annum (plus overtime opportunities and Finder’s Fee for new business)
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexibility required)

We’re looking for a Service Project Engineer to lead and coordinate service operations, ensuring both smooth project delivery and high-level customer satisfaction. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in project management while still utilising your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engineer Scheduling & Coordination: Manage onsite engineers to ensure timely responses and customer requirements are met with minimal repeat visits.
2. Project Planning & Collaboration: Work alongside the project management team to schedule installation, repair, and upgrade works efficiently.
3. Maximising Service Team Efficiency: Ensure 95% engineer utilisation, managing resources effectively for maximum productivity.
4. Customer Support & Issue Resolution: Provide front-line technical support and act as the main point of contact for clients.
5. Business Growth: Identify opportunities to expand business with existing clients and contribute to new business acquisition.
6. Health & Safety Compliance: Work with the Service Supervisor to create risk assessments, method statements, and ensure safety standards are adhered to on-site.
7. Procurement & Logistics: Liaise with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of service parts, reducing delays and maximising efficiency.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. ONC / HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
2. Proven experience in switchgear systems, power distribution, or electrical service operations.
3. Strong organisational and scheduling abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships and resolve issues efficiently.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling/project management software.
6. Ability to produce technical documentation and risk assessments.
