The Role
The College has an extensive system of Learning Support that operates across the whole College. There is an inclusive approach for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
As Communication Support Worker you will be supporting students to attend their timetabled classes, work placement and other College activities.
What are we looking for?
You will have sound knowledge and understanding of issues facing disabled people as well as experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds. You will also possess a level 3 BSL qualification or equivalent. With excellent organisation and record keeping skills you will be able to form effective and professional working relationships and work in a variety of different learning environments. As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and be willing to work flexibly.
