As our Global Communications Manager & Storytelling Specialist, you won’t just write—you’ll shape the voice of our brand. From media engagement to executive messaging, you’ll bring clarity, impact, and creativity to everything we communicate. This role is perfect for a hands-on communicator who loves getting into the details, producing high-quality content, and making a real impact.
What You’ll Do
External & Media Communications
* Craft compelling content—press releases, media pitches, thought leadership articles, and industry reports that demand attention.
* Build strong media relationships—be the go-to contact for journalists, ensuring our company stays in the spotlight.
* Tell our story with impact—translate complex fire & security industry topics into clear, engaging narratives.
* Manage reputation & crisis comms—when stakes are high, you’ll ensure our messaging is strategic and clear.
Internal Communications & Engagement
* Write for leadership—develop executive speeches, internal newsletters, and company-wide updates that keep employees informed and engaged.
* Shape culture through storytelling—create content that reinforces our values, mission, and strategic priorities.
* Collaborate across teams—work with HR, marketing, and leadership to drive internal communication initiatives.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner with senior leadership, global teams, marketing, PR, and business units to align messaging and engagement strategies.
* Craft compelling client communication materials and executive-level messaging.
Content Creation & Thought Leadership
* Turn ideas into impactful content—blogs, opinion pieces, and whitepapers that position us as an industry leader.
* Interview subject matter experts—take technical insights and transform them into compelling, reader-friendly content.
* Develop content for major industry events—conference materials, executive presentations, and keynote scripts.
Measure & Improve
* Track communication impact—use data and insights to refine strategies for maximum engagement.
* Stay ahead of trends—keep a pulse on emerging communication strategies and industry developments.
What You Bring
* 5+ years of experience in journalism, PR, corporate communications, or internal comms.
* Exceptional writing and storytelling skills—you know how to make words work.
* Experience in media relations and PR—crafting pitches and working with journalists.
* Ability to translate complex industry topics into engaging content.
* Strong internal communication skills—writing for executives and global teams.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Background in fire & security, tech, or B2B industries.
* Experience in crisis communication & reputation management.
* Understanding of SEO, social media engagement, and multimedia storytelling.
