Digital & Technology Services at the University of Nottingham is at the heart of an exciting period of digital transformation.
As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you will gain experience of monitoring and detecting potential security threats and escalating as necessary. You will also support secure and uninterrupted operations through the implementation of cyber security mechanisms and the application of cyber security procedures and controls.
You will contribute to the delivery of a security culture across our campuses, understanding vulnerabilities and threats and support the development of the university’s cyber security maturity. You will gain experience in applying procedures and controls to maintain security and control of our systems, and process security requests ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of information stored digitally.

On successful completion of this apprenticeship, you will achieve a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions awarded by the University of Staffordshire (https://www.staffs.ac.uk/apprenticeships/courses/digital-technology-solutions-level-6)
Skills required:
* IT literate
* Enthusiastic and interested in IT and Cyber Security.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
* Enthusiasm towards work and learning
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
* Good analytical and problem solving skills
Qualifications required:
* 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
* 3 A levels or equivalent (2As and 1 B preferred)
Note: Where applicants are studying towards A levels or equivalent, then predicted grades should be indicated in the application. Any appointment will be subject to meeting the required grade to enrol on the BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions course.
