About the Role
To work as part of a team within the CCTV Control Room that provides a service ensuring the safety of Nottingham's citizens, businesses, members of the public, visitors and the wider Council. Supporting the Police in the detection and prevention of crime with the main focus on checking CCTV media inquiries and ensuring all requests are met within the timescale of the CCTV Policy and that all necessary paperwork is complete and available for audit purposes. You will be working on various CCTV systems, which will require downloads from the control room and travel to other sites across Nottingham when required.
To provide assistance and support alongside our partner agencies by ensuring that all necessary CCTV media aspects are met, which includes the handling of CCTV footage requests, SARs, PIRs, and RIPA requests.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
1. SIA CCTV Licence (Up to Date)
2. Experience of dealing with customers in a polite, professional and courteous manner, including taking the team lead with CCTV Media Request Handling, and ensuring all reports are completed to a high standard and securely saved for audit purposes.
3. Good knowledge of the use of various CCTV systems and the ability to download requested footage from either an internal or external authority and provide evidential data in a reasonable timescale within the CCTV Policy.
4. Ability to handle SAR, PIR, and RIPA requests and ensure compliance with the running of our CCTV operations.
5. Attend meetings with our internal and external partners to assist with our CCTV operations and to fully communicate relevant feedback to all CCTV teams, including the control room manager.
6. Ability to work alone on occasions as CCTV downloads may be required off-site (away from the CCTV Control Room).
7. Produce and keep auditable records relating to the CCTV day-to-day operations, maintaining logs and records of calls and emails, activities, or other information within the agreed protocols.
- This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role.
- A NPPV (Non-Police Personal Vetting - Level 2) is required for this post.
