Quality Assurance Auditor (Nights) Humdinger, Heckington As a Quality Assurance Auditor at Humdinger, you will be at the forefront of championing food safety and quality within our factory, completing daily audits, customer complaints and investigations, taste panels and much more Position Type: Full time, Permanent. Hours: 36 Shift Pattern: Monday - Saturday, 3 on 4 off, 18:00 - 06:00 Pay range: £14.86 /hour (£27,817.92 equivalent) Breaks: 3 x 20 minutes PAID breaks The first 2 weeks the successful candidate will be on day shift for training, you will then go onto night shift in week 3. Ensure that product quality and safety standards are consistently upheld, guaranteeing that all manufactured products meet customer specifications and comply with legal requirements. Maintain a state of audit readiness at all times, ensuring strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Lead internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS), conducting routine assessments per schedule, including but not limited to hygiene, GMP, pest control, glass, and hard plastics. Identify non-conformances, raise corrective actions, and follow through to ensure effective resolution. Perform scheduled swabbing and sample collection (e.g., hand swabs, rapid swabs, water samples) to verify compliance. Identify both conformance and non-conformance issues and take appropriate action. Review and assess finished product testing protocols and results, challenging discrepancies where necessary. Support the QA Manager in maintaining quality assurance standards and processes. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and work instructions, approving concessions where deviations from specifications are identified. Investigate customer complaints and report findings to the QA Manager. Conduct thorough foreign body investigations, ensuring timely analysis and strong root cause identification. Collect product samples for validation, shelf-life, and nutritional testing. Perform end-of-life testing to confirm product quality is maintained throughout its lifespan. Conduct detailed documentation reviews and traceability exercises as required. Additional responsibilities include managing work orders and specifications, performing quality control checks, and overseeing taste panel evaluations. A passion for product quality and working to procedure and process. Strong attention to detail. Experience in a fast-paced environment is desirable. Well-developed communication skills – able to present written and verbal reports that are understood by the target audience. Can communicate with both internal and external contacts and stakeholders at all levels. Good team building - Work well within a team and provide support to other teams. Confident – Ability to challenge non-compliance. Strong computer skills – confidence in working with all aspects of Microsoft Office. Good problem-solving skills – Knowledge of 5 why and root causes would be desirable but not essential. Internal Auditing – Desirable but not essential. Food Hygiene Level 2. HACCP level 2 minimum.
