Brain Injury Support Worker (Flexible hours)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a male dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join the Libertatem Healthcare Group team in Prenton Birkenhead. The role involves providing high-quality care and support to a client with complex health conditions, assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will be working flexible hours (15-20 hours a week) to assist our client into the community and in daily living by providing high-quality care and support, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Our client is very social and likes to go out to concerts, theatres, events, and supports Liverpool, so attending home games.
Job responsibilities
* Delivering personalised care and support to our client with complex health conditions.
* Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
* Experience in a similar role, preferably in learning disabilities and epilepsy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Energetic, upbeat and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
* Valid UK driver's license.
