Role:Data Privacy Advisor(AVP)
Location:Hybrid Glasgow/WFH 2 days in the office perweek
ContractDuration: 6month contract inside IR35 through an umbrellacompany

Overallpurpose ofrole:
Thesuccessful candidate will provide Data Privacy advisory supportacross the business.
KeyAccountabilities:
Serve as a Data PrivacySMEand advisor for the Business and Senior Manager(s).
Fulfil responsibilities aligned to the Data Privacy roles andresponsibilities and advise the business in line with relevantcompany policies and standards related to Data Privacy inaccordance with the strategy and governance framework.
Ensure Data Privacy is considered in new product approval andtechnology change processes and provide check/challenge in relationto new business propositions in relation to Data Privacy key risksto ensure that any risks are identified and appropriate mitigatingactions taken
Collaborate with the Data PrivacyGovernance team to ensure that Data Privacy related incidentsbreaches and risk events are appropriately reportedrecordedand monitored at the relevant governance fora.
Effectively maintain key stakeholder relationships and work closelywith the Head of Data Privacy Data Privacy leads in each Businessvertical Data Privacy Compliance and other Datastakeholders.
Responsibility for identifying assessing and controlling the risksassociated with transferring Personal data to a differentjurisdiction.
Provide input into or measure as appropriate conformance assuranceand reviews from the perspective of Data Privacy within theBusinesses such as verification checks or monitoringreviews.
PersonSpecification:
Relevant knowledge with proven experiencein data protection regulations in theUKand / or across the rest of the World (US APAC & Europeanregions) preferably in the financial services industry.
Previous Business Compliance or Legal experience is preferred butnot required.
Has excellent business judgment andcommercial acumen and a willingness to exercise it.
Hasa professional demeanour and possesses considerable presenceimpactand gravitas to command respect within the organisation.
Is a selfstarting and resultsfocused individual.
Hasexcellent interpersonal skills is an effective communicator
Able to work constructively across a diverse range ofstakeholders.
EssentialSkills/Basic Qualifications:
Excellent communication andorganisation skills.
Ability to operate in a fastmovingbusiness environment and make decisions bearing in mind businessobjectives and commercial requirements.
Strong technicaland regulatory knowledge in the areas of Data Privacy.
Experience with handling and information control and management ofdata breach or technology related incidences is also anadvantage.
Experience with privacy impact assessmentsand privacy risk and control assessments.
Understandingof Data Privacy related issues that arise in relation to the use ofenterprisewide technology (e.g. outsourcing technology).
Experience with conformance testingreviewsandassurance.
Desirableskills/Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in oneor more of the following disciplines: data privacy legal complianceinformation risk or information technology would beuseful.
Professional Privacy Certification from theInternational Association of Privacy Professionals (e.g. CIPP /E)or equivalent is preferred.
BCSqualification in DataProtection.
