We are seeking two fun, enthusiastic, and experienced art practitioners to engage and inspire a wide range of learners through creative play and critical inquiry and help us build and deliver a dynamic learning environment.
The public drop-in sessions will be open workshops that respond to the sculpture park and the installations. The focus of these sessions is to enable visitors to get their hands dirty while developing their sculptural skills and awareness. Jupiter Artland seeks to nurture a learning landscape that gives agency to the learner’s voice and shapes a space for our future critical thinkers and develop creative activism for every child in Scotland.

Salary: £26,000 (pro rata)
Contract Type: Permanent / 4 Days a Week / 3 Days a Week
About Jupiter Artland: Jupiter Artland is an award-winning contemporary outdoor art gallery located just outside Edinburgh. Founded in 2009 and now home to over 37 permanent and unique site-specific sculptures, Jupiter Artland has grown into one of Scotland’s most significant arts organisations, with an international reputation for innovation and creativity and a seasonal programme of carefully curated exhibitions and events that showcase and champion a plethora of artists, both emerging and established.
Key Responsibilities, Tasks, Duties:
1. Support Learning Team in day-to-day administration, bookings, planning, inquiries, and diary management.
2. Delivery of our learning programmes including Woodland ArtSparks (3-10 yrs), Holiday Sessions (5-10 yrs), Drop-in Sessions, Free Learning, JUPITER+ ORBIT, and outreach programs.
3. Provide research support to Learning Team that will contribute to lesson plans, teaching materials, learning resources, and visits.
4. Draft copies of learning newsletters for social media and website pages.
5. Update website with content, contribute to marketing and promotion of Learning Program.
6. Maintain orders, records, and budgets ensuring accuracy.
Records & Finances:
1. Maintain excellent records for the learning contact database through in-house Customer Relationship Management system.
2. Support the effective use of Jupiter Artland’s customer and contact database, adhering to data protection laws and current legislation, and work with team members to ensure its effectiveness.
3. Process invoices, using accounts procedure to accurately code up and record spend and income.
4. Order learning resources as required.
