AWE is recruiting for a Sourcing Event Buyer to work closely with the category management teams and be responsible for processing of sourcing events and inputting key information into our strategic sourcing solution, JAGGAER. Please note, this is an 18-month fixed term contract. Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. Plan to relocate to Green Park from October 2025. Let us introduce the role As the Sourcing Event Buyer, your role will be to liaise with the category management teams, uploading and processing sourcing event details into JAGGAER and managing the event through the full process. This role supports the ongoing Commercial Transformation Programme. You will be involved in future training on process, systems and workflows within AWE, and will be the first point of contact (POC) for escalations in the event team. You must be capable of understanding what is changing, what measures to put in place, be prepared and to support the team. This includes monitoring, mentoring and training staff. Who are we looking for? We are ideally seeking individuals with a working knowledge of source to contract management using the Jaggaer or similar system, supply chain processes, procurement strategies and managing contract management plans. You will have excellent communication skills and comfortable dealing with stakeholders at various levels. Experience of using JAGGAER, or Ariba would be highly beneficial but not essential. However, you should have prior experience using similar systems. Experience of end-to-end tendering process, understanding of training, and manual creation, knowledge of PCR 2015 and PA 2023 are all desirable skills. Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following: Experience of using JAGGAER, or Ariba. Knowledge of PCR 2015 and PA 2023. Experience of Source to Contract management. Knowledge of supply chain processes. Knowledge of procurement strategies. Experience managing contract management plans. Accuracy in data entry and attention to detail. Experience working in a procurement or customer services environment.
