Utility Arboriculture Surveyor
Our Role
As a Utility Surveyor, using your technical expertise, you will deliver a first-class service to our customers with safety being paramount. Your role will be to identify, evaluate and quantify work required to maintain contract specification safety clearances from overhead electrical networks.
This role sits within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division where we have an excellent reputation for the safe and efficient delivery of arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management services. Operating across the Midlands and the South East, from our Ledbury and Hermitage offices, we work across numerous strategic, long term contracts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Understand the relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines associated with carrying out arboricultural work.
2. Recognise the importance of carrying out site-specific risk assessments with a robust emergency procedure.
3. Collate work packs in line with contract specifications that enable our operational arborists to carry out their work.
4. Liaise with private landowners and other stakeholders to gain consent for our works.
5. Identify & understand safety zones and their inherent dangers.
6. Ensure your own and others' safety on site.
7. Coach and mentor junior members of the team.
8. Work with the wider delivery team to ensure work is tracked and completed according to the client’s requirements.
9. Enjoy working autonomously, always focused on delivering a first-class service with a professional manner.
Experience and Qualifications
1. Have a minimum of 2 years’ arboriculture experience.
2. Hold UA1, 2.1 and UA5.
3. Any additional competencies would be an advantage.
Salary and Benefits
We offer up to a £38,000 salary plus performance-related bonus for the right candidate based on experience along with a full benefits package and wide support structure.
