The Deputy Director – Data Services & Analytics Delivery, Enterprise Services is a critical role within both Enterprise Services and wider Home Office Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department. The Home Office DDaT portfolio is one of the most complex technology functions within government, with 4,500 resources delivering for more than 300 complex change programmes and maintaining hundreds of mission critical systems.
Enterprise Services is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining digital services and solution for cross cutting functions within the department. Our team is delivering the core technology needed for the department’s future development, designing appropriate solutions, delivering quickly and effectively and making a real difference in achieving wider DDaT and organisational strategies and objectives.
Reporting to the Deputy Director for Data Services and Analytics, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Services and Analytics Delivery Deputy Director to lead our data analytics and insight programme delivery initiatives. This role is crucial in providing the systems that provide data-driven insights to our operational and policy teams, enabling them to better serve the public and protect the country.

The Job Holder will be expected to:
* Lead the Data Services and Analytics team in delivering high-quality data analytics and insights systems on time and to cost.
* Collaborate with portfolio and operational teams to understand their data needs and agreement prioritised requirements for the delivery teams.
* Help to develop and implement data strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
* Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of the DSA systems utilised across the organization.
* Manage and mentor a team of programme delivery professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
* Oversee the delivery of multiple complex, high-value DSA programmes.
* Maximize supplier relationships, frameworks, and methodologies in support of delivery to ensure value for money and completion of agreed timescales.
* Manage cross-organizational dependencies to ensure milestones are achieved.
* Establish high-performing third-party partnerships and manage commercial relationships.
* Demonstrate strong financial management experience relating to high-value programme delivery.
* Build high-performing, passionate, delivery-focused teams and support and coach managers to achieve the agreed outcomes.
* Respond to changes in priorities balancing objectives and redeploying people and resources to satisfy programme deliverables and shifting priorities.
* Transition from traditional project and programme management to iterative, product-focused agile delivery methods.
