Salary: £13.03 - £14.54 per hour
Reeson Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN provision in Wigan (WN7). This full-time, long-term role involves supporting pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of needs, including SEMH. Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
2. Provide 1:1 and small group support as a teaching assistant for pupils with SEMH and additional needs
* Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in learning
* Build strong relationships with pupils to foster confidence and independence
* Support teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual needs
* Help create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
3. Experience supporting pupils as a teaching assistant with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs in an educational or care setting
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
