Welder Dumbarton Permanent About the Role: Nine Twenty are excited to partner with a leading manufacturing client in Dumbarton, who is seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join their team. This role involves satisfying welding and fabrication requirements to engineering drawings within the workshop, employing efficient and effective working practices, while ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities: Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including setup and adjustment. Read and correctly interpret welding standards, technical, and safety data sheets. Perform TIG, MAG, and MMA welding processes, with experience in penetrant testing (PT) and radiographic testing (RT) standards. Conduct pipe welding, fit-up, and Orbitalum pipe preparation. Execute marking off, drilling operations, plasma burning, crane operation, and lifting and singing of materials. Maintain machinery and parts to ensure optimal operating condition, and ensure tools and equipment are reliable and usable through regular cleaning and inspection. Support the wider team and departments with ad-hoc tasks and projects, contributing to the business by acting safely, professionally, and ethically at all times. Essential Qualifications and Skills: Recognised Welding/Fabrication apprenticeship. Operational knowledge of welding and fabrication equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering data and drawings. Sufficient experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferential TIG welding experience. Computer literacy. Personal commitment to safety and environmental standards. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Interested?
