Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Urgent and Emergency Care Leadership team with operational management and the efficient delivery of services within Urgent and Emergency Care at Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
The role is cross-site between Hinchingbrooke and Peterborough Hospital. The main base will be Peterborough City Hospital but travel across sites will be expected.
The post holder will support planning and coordination, including same day emergency care pathways, emergency department performance, and assist with delivering improvement plans within Urgent and Emergency Care at both sites. Where required, the post holder will initiate and implement recovery actions for performance, working closely with the Urgent Care management team and Divisional Business Development Team to provide analysis of performance and activity planning.
The post holder will lead the development and management of working practices within the admin and performance functions to ensure the delivery of an efficient and responsive service, encompassing new initiatives, policies and procedural changes and processes.
