Job Summary
To provide a Materials Management replenishment service on behalf of the wards/departments using computerised systems and Personal Data Assistants (PDS's) with bar coding data capture functionality, ensuring that all stocks are managed and replenished appropriately to agreed levels. Where required, undertaking operational duties associated with Receipt and Distribution over both Birmingham Woman's and Birmingham Children's sites in accordance with agreed procedures and delivery schedules.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Receive and respond to customer enquiries either by telephone, email or in person on catalogue queries, purchase order queries, product details, product availability, discrepancies and returns. Reporting and logging all issues through the appropriate channels.
2. Assist in the checking and storing of goods into correct stock locations ensuring visibility and rotation at all times.
3. Assist with the delivery of goods in a safe, efficient and secure manner to the correct users, recording orders onto delivery whilst identifying any attractive and/or valuable items to the end user.
