Position: Systems Security Architect
Salary: Up to £65K (Dependent on experience)

About the Role:
The Systems Security Architect is responsible for creating a security architecture that involves designing and implementing a range of protective measures for a weapon/missile system. This role is critical in ensuring our Customers have an Assured Capability (AC).
This is achieved by leading complex task packages and working closely with multi-disciplinary engineers across the Engineering Directorate.
What we're looking for:
Knowledge of through-life missile/weapon system design and the ability to manage the trade-space in that design
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) for effective interaction with multi-disciplinary engineers, technical experts, senior management, and technical Customers
Ability to listen, evaluate, and resolve management and technical issues while upholding our client's reputation with the Customer
Strong engineering skills with a background in systems engineering, electronics design, embedded software, or firmware being desirable
DV cleared or willing and eligible to go through the DV clearance process

Role Responsibilities:
Task package management of activities, utilizing multi-disciplinary engineers across the Engineering Directorate, to design and deliver a comprehensive technical security solution within budget and set timescales.
Managing the trade-space to optimize the effectiveness of through-life protective measures without compromising product safety or Customer winning capability.
Preparing and maintaining a robust security case, working directly with the UK Customer and its technical advisors to ensure sufficiency of solutions.
Undertaking a wide range of systems design and technical leadership tasks to maintain a coherent design across contributing engineering departments (hardware, software, firmware), ensuring integration, testing, and qualification to demonstrate the effectiveness of the security solution.
Liaising with manufacturing and support teams to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the missile/weapon system is maintained through manufacture and in various through-life support scenarios offered to a Customer.
Ensuring adherence to the Need to Know principle and implementing sufficient controls to manage knowledge of the technical implementation, providing direction on the release of information to Suppliers and Customers, as needed.
