KS4 SEND Learning Support
Location: Hall Green
Salary: £83.33 - £100 daily
Hours: Full Time 8:30am-3:30pm
Start Date: January 2025
Monarch Education are currently working in partnership with a special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Hall Green who are seeking a keen SEND Teaching Assistant to work in KS4 classes.
This all-age special school caters to students who all have a statement of Special Educational Need, primarily focusing on moderate learning difficulties, with the primary need being Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
The Role:
You would be working in a small class of children at mixed abilities. You may also be mentoring children with SEND on a one-to-one basis to ensure every child gets a fair chance at learning.
Requirements to apply:
1. You must have some form of experience with autism or learning difficulties.
2. You must either have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain this through Monarch.
3. Able to provide 2 references minimum.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Pro-active and keen to work with SEND pupils.
2. Empathetic to the struggles faced by pupils with special educational needs.
3. Able to clearly communicate with pupils, as well as teachers and support networks.
4. Able to adapt the curriculum where necessary with the use of toys, sensory play, and music.
5. Fun and bubbly personality whilst maintaining a professional demeanor.
