About the Role We will provide you with full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to work as a Production Operative in our Specials team safely and effectively where you will Hand finishing product to a high quality at the required output rate Operating various pieces of factory machinery and equipment such as an extruder, robot setter and press Hand sorting fired product to correct standard & hand setting unfired product Contribute to specific projects for the Company Actively take part in any training to enhance your role Ensure optimum production targets, minimum waste and the highest levels of consistent quality are achieved Ensure safe working at all times with a right first time every time by everyone attitude to produce a cost effective, quality product Carry out all factory operations at different times as requested by the Line Manager Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4pm, with two 30-minute unpaid breaks per day and Friday, 7am to 2:30pm, with one 30-minute unpaid breaks per day, which equates to 39 hours per week. About You Previous experience working as a Production Operative Previous manufacturing experience working with machinery within an automated manufacturing environment Good knowledge of health and safety Able to work to production targets Ability to understand work instructions (Standard Operating Procedures) Team player with the ability to work unsupervised Flexible approach to duties as well as willingness to work overtime Current / valid RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or CPCS forklift truck license with recent driving experience within the last six months Ideally you will have experience in one or more of the following: hand fettling (shaping and moulding clay by hand) experience of running an extruder operating a front-loading shovel About our Benefits Training and opportunities to grow your career with us Company Pension SIP ability to become a shareholder via our Share Scheme Life Assurance Flexible benefits offering (including health, wellbeing and money saving opportunities) So what are you waiting for?
