Position Profile: The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) demonstrates the AKG vision and values, providing leadership and management in relation to quality patient care, and both budgetary and human resources in the Endoscopy Unit. As a key leader in the inter-professional team, the NUM will ensure that key performance indicator targets are met while ensuring that patient outcomes are optimal and evidence-based. The NUM will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure standards are continually improved and maintained in line with the strategic direction of the health service.
The position covers both Armadale and Kalamunda campuses and will require the incumbent to travel to both locations on a regular basis.
Area Profile: Armadale Health Service (AHS) is a general hospital focused on providing a range of high quality health care services in the community. The hospital, which is part of the Armadale Kalamunda Group, is equipped with an Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit and provides high-quality general medical and surgery services, rehabilitation, maternity, paediatric and neonatal, mental health, renal medicine and dialysis services and ambulatory care.
Kalamunda District Community Hospital (KDCH) is a specialist hospital and is part of the Armadale Kalamunda Group. The hospital provides both day surgical procedures and a specialist inpatient palliative care service for patients in the east metropolitan area.
