We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Wigrams Turn Waterside & Marina, Napton on a full time basis.
We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service to our current and future customers, and the new team member will play a key part in this. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who can work flexibly within a small team and who is practical with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Activities include maintaining hire boats, delivering customer hand-overs, helping maintain the marina infrastructure, including pontoons and buildings. You will need to be comfortable in a customer-facing role and be able to deal with paperwork.
This is a role that includes weekends and some bank holidays.
To be successful, you will need to deliver the following:
1. Complete remedial work where required on the boat hire fleet.
2. Deliver hand-overs to customers hiring boats.
3. Be on-call March-October if boat hire customers require out of hours emergency assistance.
4. Provide quayside services to moorers and visitors: diesel, coal, wood, pump out etc.
5. Process paperwork for services.
6. Proactively sell berths encouraging new customers to take up moorings within the AquaVista Marinas group and maintain existing customers.
7. Carry out general boat maintenance where required.
8. Check and maintain stock levels e.g. gas, coal, logs, diesel etc.
9. Carry out general Marina maintenance e.g. grass/reed cutting and strimming, perimeter fence repairs, weed control, jetty/pontoon cleaning and repair, pathway maintenance, pressure washing and maintenance projects.
10. Assist the marina office where required.
11. Carry out facilities checks - buildings and equipment.
12. To be methodical and accurate in completing tasks.

Qualification & Experience:
* 2+ years experience in a customer-facing role.
* Knowledge of narrowboat workings.
