Accounts Assistant (Credit Controller) Crawley, UK Up to £32,000 per annum Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments. Conduct regular follow-up calls and correspondence to collect overdue invoices. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Process credit applications, assess creditworthiness, and set credit limits for new and existing clients. Prepare and distribute monthly account statements and reports for management review. Liaise with internal teams and external customers to handle account queries effectively. Assist in month-end close processes and ensure accurate reporting of receivables. Support ad-hoc finance projects and assist the Finance Manager as needed. Qualifications and Skills Required: Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related finance role. Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach. Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is a plus). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good knowledge of MS Excel and general ledger functions.
