The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and training of machines. Demonstrate excellent customer facing skills whilst remaining calm and resolving any challenge’s on site in an amicable manor in line with company policy. Advising the help desk and schedulers on any site base and machine issues. Able to communicate and liaise with the business in the support of all its products. The Individual must be focused on delivering and driving solutions through ownership. The FSE must also be available to attend site throughout the country at short notice providing solutions for our customers and the business. The FSE must be able to understand and demonstrate the functionality of our equipment. Providing technical and sales support to the business Commissioning, training, and installation Electrical & mechanical breakdowns (Min 50/50) Driving change through historical and acquired knowledge. Main Tasks: Understand and demonstrate knowledge of engineering activities including: Service work Preventative maintenance Installation and commissioning of capital equipment (Preferably CNC machines) Electrical breakdown competent Mechanical breakdown competent Training customers Supporting customers and the helpdesk on technical and customer issues Understanding mechanical drawings Problem solve and troubleshoot in the event of difficulties arriving from an intervention. Site surveys CNC knowledge Attend training courses. Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard within the allowed timeframe and actively reduce any remedial work. Advising on installation planning through historical knowledge Technical advice and troubleshooting for customers and the business. Taking ownership for the work carried out on site with flexibility in accordance with our customers’ needs. Prepare and submit paperwork including EWO’s, timesheets and expenses. Provide information in a timely manor. Computer literate in terms of email, phone/web-based applications e.g., Work orders are digital, H&S online portals, knowledge based Sharepoint website, electronic web-based mileage sheets, training portals, etc. Understands the importance of H&S.
