U-Drive are recruiting for an experienced and detail-oriented technical motor claims handler with strong commercial awareness and working knowledge of case law to join a close-knit team focused on the Accident and Risk Management claims for our fleet of 4000 vehicles.
About The Role
Our Accident and Risk Management team are critical to the processing of incidents pertaining to our mixed fleet. This is a customer-focused role where active listening and informed decision-making will enhance the business effectiveness. At U-Drive, our emphasis is on quality and mitigating risk through attention to detail. You will be working a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday.
Core Responsibilities
* Case management of existing and incoming cases
* Identifying risk of fault, incident circumstances, liability and impact on business
* Knowing when to pursue third party or to provide services to third party
* Recoveries from ‘at fault' third party drivers
* Oversight of credit hire negotiation
* Third party total loss negotiation
* Working alongside external claims company, motor engineers and third-party insurers in dealing with pre-litigation claims. No involvement in personal injury claims
* Day to day team responsibilities such as chasing insurance, repair management, setting up claims, fielding calls and general administration
Requirements
Successful candidates should demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
* Strong communicator both over the phone and in written correspondence
* Exceptional attention to detail, understanding this is of paramount importance when assessing claims and collating the appropriate information
* Well-organised and able to work independently as well as take on team responsibilities as needed
* Demonstrable negotiation skills and a working knowledge of motor claims case law
* Good understanding of risk and allocating fault, in a motor insurance capacity
* Comfortable with learning and using operating software and have good Microsoft Office skills
