Salary: £47,683+ depending on skills and experience, with an Employment package. This Employment Package includes a range of company benefits such as overtime, flexible working, and a share incentive scheme.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Plant and Equipment Senior Project Manager, you will work as part of a team delivering a wide range of projects. These can vary from small off-the-shelf equipment installations to large dedicated/bespoke plant and equipment (machinery) including the associated civil, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure works. You will also be responsible for supporting the construction project management team in capturing manufacturing requirements, compiling electrical, mechanical, and civil technical detail to facilitate the build of new onsite factories housing our manufacturing plant and equipment.
* Leading all project phases, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with company and departmental quality procedures.
* Interpreting customer requirements, supporting preparation of designs, implementing plans, specification approvals, and financial business cases.
* Collaborating with other team members & stakeholders to ensure success in your and your colleagues’ projects.
* Safe management and coordination of onsite contractor activities.
* Taking responsibility for all installations in accordance with current company, statutory health & safety legislation, building control, and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
* Delivering best value and customer satisfaction by managing relationships with a range of suppliers.
* Providing budgetary and financial control.
Your skills and experiences:
* Degree or HNC/D qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Construction discipline would be ideal; however, other disciplines and relevant experience will be considered.
* Experience in installation or commissioning production/manufacturing facilities, including special purpose machinery and bespoke equipment. We will also consider other disciplines such as construction project management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, utilities, and/or building services engineering.
* Relevant qualifications or significant experience in managing contractor activities and ensuring construction Health & Safety (NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH, specific safety topic training).
* Knowledge of construction and/or manufacturing plant & equipment installations.
* Experience of managing contractors in full compliance with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations.

The Plant and Equipment Team:
As an Infrastructure Plant & Equipment – Senior Project Manager, you will act as a client-side project manager to ensure successful delivery of the design, planning, and implementation of a wide range of plant & equipment upgrades and new installations across the BAE Systems sites. This role will provide you with a variety of work across all aspects of running a manufacturing environment and large secure industrial sites. This role could involve occasional travel within the UK. Overseas opportunities may arise if deemed necessary in the design or delivery of a project and is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge & experience.
