We’re thrilled to partner with an exceptional SEMH school near King's Lynn, Norfolk looking for a dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in helping students with a variety of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties, Specific Learning Disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and more. You'll also provide essential support to those facing highly complex challenges, such as cerebral palsy and other sensory or physical impairments.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Additional Information:
🕒 Hours: Monday - Friday (08:00 - 16:00)
💰 Salary: £13 - £15 per hour Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday pay
📅 Contract: Temp to Perm, Full-time ( term time only)
📍 Location: King's Lynn, Norfolk
Key Responsibilities of an SEMH Learning Support Assistant:
Student Support: Build warm, caring relationships with students to help them feel safe and supported, fostering an environment where they can enjoy and learn.
Promote Independence: Encourage personal development and independence in students, maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
Educational Activities: Assist in providing high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities that help students reach their full potential.
Classroom Assistance: The SEMH Learning Support Assistant will support the Class Teacher with daily classroom activities and ensure smooth operation.
Adaptability: Respond to the changing needs of the school and adapt to various tasks as required.
Holistic Development: Promote the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being of students.
SEMH Learning Support Assistant Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language.
Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
SEN Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEN desirable.
Transportation: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to King's Lynn, Norfolk.
Compliance: Must have a Full-Time Right to Work status.
