Middlesbrough Staying Put Agency is looking to recruit an enthusiastic person with the necessary skills required to install home security measures and carry out basic property maintenance. You will be part of a small and dedicated team, with responsibility for a range of housing support services.
The successful candidate will work as part of a new initiative between My Sisters Place and Middlesbrough Staying Put Agency to deliver the Domestic Abuse Sanctuary Scheme.
The scheme is a victim centred initiative with works with domestic abuse victims who want to remain safe in their home by providing additional security for them, preventing them from becoming homeless.
You will also support people with disabilities and vulnerable families with repairs or minor adaptations. You will liaise with Occupational Therapy staff, social workers and other professionals to assess and recommend appropriate minor adaptations or solutions. This role is for someone with a passion and commitment to helping victims of domestic abuse.
It includes working in partnership with key agencies such as the Crime Prevention team, Fire Service, and Domestic Abuse Specialist Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award winning team, regularly recognised nationally for its good practice and successful outcomes.
