The role
As a Project and Programme Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for managing the complex IT application and infrastructure programme plans together with the provision of planning expertise and guidance to a large team of project managers.
Day-to-day, you’ll assist the Project Delivery Team with planning guidance and fault fix issues with MS plans.
1. Be the Subject Matter Expert for MS Project and planning in the Project Delivery Team
2. To assist Project Delivery Team with reporting progress and forecasting future works
3. Responsible for ensuring that internal planning processes and work instructions are followed on all assigned projects / programmes to allow for consistency and reporting
4. Being familiar with commercial and financial aspects of project management
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Project and Programme Planner:
5. Expert user of Microsoft Project Professional and Microsoft Project Server
6. Demonstrable Project Planning experience
7. Good understanding of Project Management process
8. Pronounced analytical and planning skills coupled with an independent, objective and process-orientated way of working
9. Experience in forecasting and managing project resources and budgets within project/programme plans
Qualifications for the Project and Programme Planner:
10. PRINCE/APM or equivalent certification

11. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role
